About
Mobile GR is seeking community input on how to invest funds in Grand Rapids transit access for the next fiscal year. Each year, Mobile GR invests over $2M in the DASH downtown circulator. As operating costs for this program increase, we want to understand how to prioritize investment and better support our community's access to transit.
We want your input as part of this work. There are two ways to get involved:
Take our rider survey. We're creating a survey for anyone who has used DASH, uses it now, or might use it someday. The survey will ask about the impact of the pilot route change, your current service experience, and provide an opportunity to prioritize what you think is most important for public transit.
If you would like to take the survey, please click here.
Share your ideas on funding. We want to hear how funds should be used to support transit citywide. During the public meetings, we will discuss three ideas in structured working groups, including community benefits and trade-offs, and allow participants to prioritize investment opportunities. Your input will impact how Mobile GR budgets funding transit access in the next fiscal year. Final decision-making lies with the City Commission.
We are hosting 3 events across the City and they will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.:
Thursday, August 27: Center for Community Transformation (1530 Madison Ave SE)
Tuesday, September 1: GRPS University (1400 Fuller Ave NE)
Thursday, September 3: Grand Rapids Public Library Main (111 Library St NE).
Beverages and light snacks included. On-site child care will be provided for those who request it by August 24, 2026. Please join us at the event that is most convenient for you. We hope to see you there!
